Karmann is een carosseriebouwer, maar ik denk dat het hier totaal niets mee heeft te maken.

Key functions include:

MONITOR MODE-
* RPM
* Throttle
* Battery voltage
* Correction %
* Air flow %
* Pressure
* Karmann
* VTEC

Het zegt mij in deze context weinig iig (dus afgezien van de tuner Karmann).

Mischien bedoelen ze Karma? Verbetert de Karma van je motor...

of je krijgt een 'snelle Kar man....' van.

Of "Karre, man, met dat ding!"...

Zou het hiervoor zijn?

Het betreft een theorie van Theodore Von Karman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodore_von_Karman) met 1 n, ingenieur en natuurkundige.

De Japanners zijn in de war met die andere Karmann met 2 n, Wilhelm Karmann (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karmann) de autobouwer (of ze hebben het gewoon verkeerd gespeld).

Welke functie/effect ze meten is mij niet duidelijk, Von Karman heeft meerdere flow en aerodynamica theorieen ontwikkeld:

Naar karmann gaan we nog even zoeken. (cabrio dak bediening? 8) )

Het lijkt te gaan over de karman(n) frequency.

Dit is een kleine uitleg die ik daarover vond.

Any sufficiently blunt object placed in a steadily flowing fluid will disrupt the flow of the fluid in a peculiar manner. When the boundary layer of the fluid/body interface becomes separated from the body, a periodic train of vortices tends to form. This is especially true for simple body geometries. The rate of vortex generation is proportional to the ratio of the flowspeed to the width of the body, or fK=U/D. These periodic vortices are Karman vortices, and there are two easy ways to see them at work.

The first method is to drag a spoon through a cup of recently-creamed coffee. The cream will form patterns in the coffee as it swirls into the wake of the spoon.

Second, follow an 18-wheel truck on the highway. Get close enough behind it, and your radio antenna will start to sway back and forth. As you get closer to the body, the antenna will stop oscillating as you enter the truck's wake. Slow down a bit, and get back to the point where the antenna is swinging back and forth at a fixed frequency. This frequency is the Karman frequency, and is caused by periodic vortices alternatingly spinning off the left and right rear edges of the truck. Given the truck's width, and the frequency of the antenna sway, you can compute your current speed.

Hoe die waarde van nut is in je auto gaat nog even boven mijn pet maar er zijn meer apexi producten die hem kunnen weergeven.

Verder vond ik een luchtmeter die zijn waardes met deze freqentie aanpaste.
En wat info over eigenresonanties van materialen die je dus ongelijk moest houden aan deze frequentie.

Ik hou het er maar op dat het een of ander raar type lucht weger is....
Een Honda heeft hem niet iidg!

Is de AFC Neo onderhand al verkrijgbaar in Europa? begin na afgelopen zaterdag toch een beetje geïnteresseerd te raken in dit apparaatje, en het zal in de middenconsole niet misstaan.

Maar is het een vervanger voor de V-AFC????
